Punta de Mita is located in the pristine State of Nayarit 40 minutes northwest of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, on the northwest point of Bahia de Banderas, the Bay of Flags.
 

Punta Mita for short or Punta de Mita, whatever name you use, everyone around the entire Bahia de Banderas (Bay of Flags) from Litibu to Bucerias, to Yelapa and Nuevo Vallarta all know about the magic of the Punta Mita area.
